A supplemental meeting of officers and appointed positions for the Shutt Detachment has been called for Thursday, January 29, 2009 for 18:00. This meeting is to continue discussions for the 2009 special events and status reports from previous committees -- extra time will be allotted to the 2009 Shutt Anniversary. All regular members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

- Members of the Marine Corps League, Pvt Charles J Shutt Detachment will be meeting on Thursday, November 5, 2009 for the monthly meeting at 19:00. The monthly meeting is open to all membership, Navy Corpsmen who serve or have served in the FMF and Marines / USMC that are active, reserve, retired or honorably discharged in the Boston and surrounding communities. Discussions on the Marine Birthday Ball for 2009, current news topics and end of year activities will be covered.

- There is a short ceremony Saturday Dec 4th, at 11 AM, at the dock in Watertown Square, in memory of Pearl Harbor Day. Pvt Charles Shutt Detachment members are requested to attend, if you are available, by Veteran Officer Bob Erickson and by Acting Commandant Ed Aucoin. Uniform is red jackets and red covers.

- November 23 is going to be a busy night, there are meetings for the Annual Toy Collection Party, Scholarship Fund Committee and a "Packing Party" for Operation American Soldier and their troop care packages. Members of the committees and volunteers for the packaging are encouraged to be on hand at 18:00 ( 6:00 pm ). See you there.
