Web Sergeant Donate Clothes, 5 percent of Homeless Veterans are Women

- We have been informed of a rampant increase of women Veterans becoming homeless Nationwide including the Boston area. As part of the problem they lack the vital need of basic clothing. The Pvt Shutt Detachment of Watertown, MA is a drop off for clothing for Veterans in need. The clothing is transported to the VA in Boston, MA by the Shutt Detachment's VAVS members on a regular basis. In 2008 the Pvt Shutt Detachment is on record for providing over $10,000.00 in clothing and supplies to the VA of Boston and the Veterans in need of such goods. We are making an urgent plea for all friends, members and supporters of the Shutt Detachment to have a look through their closets and make the effort to provide in this time of need, clothing that is just sitting around that can be fully used by a female or male Veteran in these tough times.
