* founded in 1946 to provide for our nation's veterans while they are cared for by VA health care facilities

Community Assistance

How do I sign up to be a VAVS Volunteer with the Shutt? You have two convenient ways:

1) Contact the Shutt Detachment at Tel: 617 - 926 - 6860 . Ask for VAVS Representative Lenny O'Brien or one of his staff. Tell the VAVS members of your interest in becoming a VAVS Volunteer. The staff will take care of everything else including your interview, orientation, and assignment!
2) Contact this site's webmaster and forward your interest in participating in the VAVS program at the Shutt Detachment.
